Engineering Manager Architectural/Commercial Millwork

We are a fun, energetic and enthusiastic company that focuses on team building, problem solving and professional growth. The successful candidate for this position will already be proficient at. Utilizing architectural plans, specifications and the input of Project Managers to create shop drawings for submittal and production. Managing multiple large scale projects simultaneously while balancing a constantly rotating cast of available personnel resources as well as having the ability to change gears as the company reevaluates priorities to meet deadlines. Communicating with and managing our internal resources to bring a variety of drafting talents together to create a cohesive and consistent shop package that meets and exceeds the expectations of our high end clientele. Knowing what information needs to be included in shop drawings, and having the tactful concise ability to communicate this to our customers as well as internally. Finding the way to successfully produce projects which will balance the specific concerns of our shop, the jobsite, delivery and installation. Having enthusiasm for learning about new materials and figuring out how to successfully integrate them into our growing production scope.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience specifically within the business of architectural millwork, successfully drafting and engineering shop packages for architectural review and production using Autocad. Especially beneficial will be a solid understanding of AWI, best standards and practices, a working knowledge of Rhino, and experience with personnel management. Any experience with additional construction materials such as metalwork, stone and upholstery, and having an understanding of proper construction integration will be considered a big plus.
