Job Description Responsible for profitably estimating job opportunities for millwork projects of varying size and complexity. Estimates are derived from the bidder’s ability to accurately predict the amount of fabrication, finishing, and installation hours, in addition to the cost of raw materials for every unique project. A successful estimator must have an expansive hands-on knowledge of various fabrication and installation processes to meet the minimum requirements of this position. The Estimator will review bid invites and other opportunities as they arise to determine whether Company will accept or decline the invitation. Estimator’s primary responsibility is compiling project estimates and ensure Company commitments in regard to the bid schedule are accomplished. Effectively communicating and promptly following-up with external clients is an essential function required to be successful in this position.Eligibility Requirements · Estimate number of fab, finish, and install hours required to complete the project, along with assessing cost and availability of raw goods. · Develop and maintain a daily bid schedule, and adhere to customer’s deadlines · Assess bid opportunities to determine feasibility of providing proposals on promising prospects. · Plot, read, interpret, and understand architectural and shop drawings · Complete takeoffs of architectural bid drawings then compile pricing estimate and a project scope of work using tools and software available · Research & source specified materials and obtain price quotes from vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors · Price, negotiate, compose, and issuance of project proposals to clientele · Negotiate with prospects throughout bid stages; provide value engineering, breakdown pricing, alternates · Participate in both internal/external meetings to actively collaborate with coordination of project requirements · Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members via phone, email, fax, or in person on a daily basis. Expeditious follow-up skills are paramount · Schedule and effectively lead comprehensive project handoff meetings to Project Management team for smooth starts · Assist Project Management team with Change Order pricing and submittal · Attend project site meetings as required by General Contractor, may include occasional overnight travel · Attend and actively participate in weekly Company meetings · Review of contract requirements, scope, specifications, and negotiations to ensure project successfulness and compliance · Keep the General Manager and others immediately informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations · Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others · Excellent use of the following skill sets: verbal/written communication, time management, planning, executing, decision-making, technical, business acumen, and a managerial aptitude · Other responsibilities as deemed necessary to ensure successful achievement of the requirements for this positionJob Salary $60k - $80kRelocation Package YesBenefits Offered health, dental, 401K, PTO and Holidays For immediate consideration forward your resume to ryan@tradejobplacement.com or call (417) 682-3056.

Job Description: Assist Estimating Dept with takeoffs from Plans, on new jobs for estimating.  Putting together Proposals of Doors and Windows for customers. Putting together Change Orders of Jobs in Progress. Responsible for creating Word documents & Excel spreadsheets for Projects. Putting together Shop Drawings for Estimates / Mockups. Create new systems through product design research for recordkeeping, maintaining accuracy & timelines. Maintain, research, and implement new software & tools, as needed for improvement of Estimating Dept. Create the implementation of the Cloud Based Programs Bluebeam and Salesforce. Meet with Estimating Team to obtain all the necessary information needed to compile ProposalsReview and mark up architectural plans including door/window schedules. Putting together clear, thorough RFI’s for each project being quoted, to get answers needed. Gather pricing from Vendors for Materials, Hardware, etc. for projects being quoted. Weekly meetings with President of company & members of Estimating Department. Creating & establishing standard templates for use in simplifying Quoting process. Creating CAD Drawings & Submittal Packets for Samples / Mockups, with the following considerations: Engineering, Structural Integrity, Physical Operation, Hardware Compatibility, Weatherproofing Installation & Waterproofing Demands, Design, Appearance, Schedules & Budgets. Establishing a standard catalog of written text & terminology, to be re‐used on future projects.   Eligibility Requirements: 5+ years of computer use & knowledge of various software. 3+ years of proven office skills Proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD 2D, 3D, Bluebeam, Salesforce, and other software Able to read and enter information with detailed accuracy. Job Description Work with clients to accurately estimate millwork projects in a clear, timely and efficient manner to be handed off to project management once awarded. Manage calls, and emails from clients, vendors, or team members to ensure all issues are handled and properly addressed with all pertaining personnel to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure all take-offs are completed in a timely manner with a degree of accuracy, scope, cost and reflect the unique needs of each client. Track and record all labor units with total project coverage based on historical data, overall quantity and level of difficulty. Ensure material pricing is kept current and input correctly, while keeping vendors competitive by requiring multiple quotes from competing companies. Ensure bids are set-up and kept ready to submit before review. Paying attention to ensure they are professionally presented in a conversational way. Ensure change orders, and red-line revisions are handled quickly and recorded thoroughly. Make sure handoffs are completed and that information is complete and recorded so project management can reference at any given time. Eligibility Requirements Ability to organize, sort and stay on top of incoming information. Experience in Finish Carpentry estimating. Expert understanding of Microsoft office products. Extensive knowledge and understanding of millwork and related hardware, items and terms. Past recognizable and referenced history of millwork industry experience in high end markets. Excellent blueprint and architectural drawings acumen. Knowledge of material vendor and materials used. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage own time with aptitude in identifying important areas of need to ensure time is used wisely. Job Description: Support all estimating components of the Preconstruction Department for both the Residential and Commercial Divisions.   Eligibility Requirements:
  • Maintain current project drawings, specifications, and addenda and distribution to subcontractors.
  • Generate estimates for prospective clients as required.
  • Develop project scopes for each division of work during the preconstruction timeline.
  • Assist the Preconstruction Manager in managing deliverable timelines.
  • Coordinate subcontractor estimating meetings with prospective clients/design team.
  • Study plans and provide estimating guidelines to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Quantity takeoffs using detailed spreadsheets and takeoff software.
  • Maintenance of current approved Subcontractor/Vendor List
  • Maintain historical pricing database.
  • Support project download meetings with project manager and superintendent
  • Update Residential and Commercial Department heads on current estimate statuses during weekly meeting.
