To do the initial project setup, review drawings updated since the proposal was awarded. To create concise RFIs to the General Contractors requesting directions, to obtain missing information, or to clarify the information provided. To maintain the current set of Project Construction Documents. To perform material takeoff's once the drawings and material samples are approved. Experience: Minimum of ten years of experience in the millwork industry. Minimum of five years of experience using Microvellum Toolbox and AutoCAD up to 2023 including 2D & 3D modeling. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu. Must be capable of operating in an organized and detail-oriented manner. Must be capable of doing online research for millwork materials, hardware , and equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the project General Contractors, Clients, Vendors, and Draftsmen. We have been in business since 1963. Our plant size is 175,000 square feet. We are in the process of seeking an Engineer that has 5-10 years’ experience. The individual must have skills to communicate the fabrication and materials required for a particular product using AutoCAD and Microvellum all the while working with the plant to fabricate in the most efficient manner. We are willing to train the right individual in Microvellum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control to make sure engineering is done on-time and on/under budget.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Direct material takeoff generation and identify long lead time items to issue requisitions to purchasing.
  • Based on scheduling priorities, work with Project Managers to make sure drawings are done on-time and released to production in time such that manufacturing can work efficiently to meet required delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with Installation crews and field issues.
  • Attend meetings with Project Management and Estimating Departments.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Evaluate and suggest value engineering changes that do not change the designer’s intent.
  • Individual will report to the engineering manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in managing architectural millwork and fixture projects.
  • We are willing to train.
  • Master of AutoCAD 2020
  • Knowledge of Microvellum (a Plus)6.7 & 7.0
  • Knowledge in Trade Soft Software (Project Pak & Shop Pak)
  • Understanding of CNC & all Machining Processes
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Shop Experience (a Plus)
  • AWI Construction Methods (a Plus)
  • Samples of ability to produce detailed shop drawings including construction details.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

The Finish Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising finish room employees. The Finish Room Supervisor directly coordinates the activities of production and assures timelines are met in coordination with the production manager.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct employees to ensure proper completion of all projects.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production timelines and goals.
  • Train, cross-train, and evaluate staff to maximize work performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations on a 90-day and annual basis.
  • Ensure employees are following call-in/tardy procedure and report any absences to HR in a timely matter.
  • Ensure all employees are performing their assigned duties and of excellent quality.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to insure it is running properly.
  • Complete product in the time frame given by Production Manager(s).
  • Ensure all products are finished with accurate materials and without any emissions.
  • Communicate closely with other Supervisors, Project Managers, and Production Manager to ensure all aspects run smoothly including change orders and rework.
  • Evaluate the production process to identify changes and implement processes that will increase finish room productivity and efficiency.
  • Assist in shop organization and cleanliness of the finishing room.
  • Apply appropriate finishes to correct materials.
  • Communicate with other finishers and shop employees to ensure proper application, selection, and finishing.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored in a safe manner per safety regulations (stains, laquers, masks, etc).
  • Ensure employees are properly disposing rags, cleaners, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
      Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to summarize and communicate orally in person or over the telephone and in written form over email.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in finishing production.
  • Knowledge of the Cabinet industry, its finish application, and its operation flow.
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of different wood species and products that may be used.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, blueprints, drawings, and other construction documents.
  • Knowledge of principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Team orientated.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information to make decisions.
  • Ability to develop efficient production procedures with little supervision.
  Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Five years of finishing experience
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Overtime as required
