Position Summary The Cabinetry Engineer will be responsible for the critical phase of transforming design concepts into manufacturable and installable cabinetry. This role requires a strong understanding of custom cabinetry construction, manufacturing processes, and proficiency in Cabinet Vision software. The ideal candidate will be a systematic, proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills, consistently deliver high-quality results on time, and demonstrate strong collaboration skills with the entire team. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production workflow for both residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities: • Submittal Drawings and Job Readiness: Generate accurate and comprehensive submittal drawings based on client expectations. Thoroughly inspect all jobs received from the design team for potential errors, ensuring all necessary operations are correctly specified and the project is fully prepared for G-code generation. • Custom Library and Tool List Creation: Develop and maintain custom material libraries and tool lists within Cabinet Vision to optimize efficiency and accuracy in the design and manufacturing process. • Material List Generation and Ordering: Create detailed and accurate material lists for each project. Take ownership of ordering job-specific materials in a timely manner to meet production schedules. • Shop Drawings for Production and Installation: Produce clear and concise shop drawings for both in-house production and on-site installation teams, ensuring all necessary dimensions, joinery details, and installation requirements are accurately communicated. • Project Review and Preparation: Meticulously review, process, and prepare each project with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is complete and ready for the next stage of production. • Design Error Resolution: Effectively communicate any discrepancies, errors, or potential issues identified during the engineering process back to the Designers, collaborating to find efficient and effective solutions. • Pre-Engineering Hand-off Meetings: Actively participate in pre-engineering hand-off meetings with the design and installation teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements, discuss potential challenges, and ensure a smooth transition into the engineering phase Qualifications: • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in cabinetry engineering or a closely related role. • REQUIRED: Proficient in either Cabinet Vision or Microvellum software with output to CNC and hand operations. • Strong understanding of custom cabinetry design principles, construction methods, and manufacturing processes. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in time management and strict adherence to project deadlines. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Experience with both residential and commercial cabinetry projects is a plus. • Preferred experience installing or integrating Cabinet Vision into an Organization Continuous Education: The company requires continuous education to stay current with the latest advancements in kitchen & bath design, business management, manufacturing operations, and software training. This may include: • Reading books and other relevant materials. • Active participation with leadership in development & training discussions/meetings. • Participating in online or in-person courses. • Attending industry conferences and workshops. The individual must have skills to communicate the fabrication and materials required for a particular product using AutoCAD and Microvellum all the while working with the plant to fabricate in the most efficient manner. We are willing to train the right individual in Microvellum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control to make sure engineering is done on-time and on/under budget.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Direct material takeoff generation and identify long lead time items to issue requisitions to purchasing.
  • Based on scheduling priorities, work with Project Managers to make sure drawings are done on-time and released to production in time such that manufacturing can work efficiently to meet required delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with Installation crews and field issues.
  • Attend meetings with Project Management and Estimating Departments.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Evaluate and suggest value engineering changes that do not change the designer’s intent.
  • Individual will report to the engineering manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in managing architectural millwork and fixture projects.

The Finish Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising finish room employees. The Finish Room Supervisor directly coordinates the activities of production and assures timelines are met in coordination with the production manager.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct employees to ensure proper completion of all projects.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production timelines and goals.
  • Train, cross-train, and evaluate staff to maximize work performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations on a 90-day and annual basis.
  • Ensure employees are following call-in/tardy procedure and report any absences to HR in a timely matter.
  • Ensure all employees are performing their assigned duties and of excellent quality.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to insure it is running properly.
  • Complete product in the time frame given by Production Manager(s).
  • Ensure all products are finished with accurate materials and without any emissions.

  • Assist in shop organization and cleanliness of the finishing room.
  • Apply appropriate finishes to correct materials.
  • Communicate with other finishers and shop employees to ensure proper application, selection, and finishing.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored in a safe manner per safety regulations (stains, laquers, masks, etc).
  • Ensure employees are properly disposing rags, cleaners, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
      Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to summarize and communicate orally in person or over the telephone and in written form over email.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in finishing production.
  • Knowledge of the Cabinet industry, its finish application, and its operation flow.
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of different wood species and products that may be used.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, blueprints, drawings, and other construction documents.
  • Knowledge of principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information to make decisions.
  • Ability to develop efficient production procedures with little supervision.

Job Description: Commercial Cabinet Manufacturer is looking for a Project Manager. Manage projects with our Engineering team to provide and maintain accurate shop drawings and submittals, to ensure timely production, per customer specifications. Confirm functionality of products and provide a solution to potential problems. Provide a material Take offs, submit Purchase Create work order releases for the cabinet shop in collaboration with Engineering department. Provide overall project approval prior to production release. Eligibility Requirements: Experience with AutoCAD or Microvellum a plus.
