They also play a key role in client communication and strategic planning. We are willing to train the right individual in Microvellum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control to make sure engineering is done on-time and on/under budget.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Direct material takeoff generation and identify long lead time items to issue requisitions to purchasing.
  • Based on scheduling priorities, work with Project Managers to make sure drawings are done on-time and released to production in time such that manufacturing can work efficiently to meet required delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with Installation crews and field issues.
  • Attend meetings with Project Management and Estimating Departments.
  • Implement drawing and processing automation in Engineering.
  • Evaluate and suggest value engineering changes that do not change the designer’s intent.
  • Individual will report to the engineering manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in managing architectural millwork and fixture projects.

Job Description: Developing and implement policy, and procedures performed in the Engineering department. Research, Evaluate and Implement software tools used by the department and development of long-term strategic plans such as new software systems and new production machinery. Provides opportunities for reports to develop the full potential of their individual skills and abilities while striving for continuous improvement in all aspects of company operations. Manage the department to complete assigned tasks on time and maintain outstanding attendance. Eligibility Requirements: Microvellum proficient. Assists in developing and maintaining design and drawing standards and maintaining and updating drawing files. Experience in review of technical work of the department in the engineering of products including Design Engineering, Bill of Material and Router creation and maintenance, specification of materials, procurement of materials, fabrication of prototypes, optimization and programming of products/parts, Cut Lists, Saw Optimizations, and Material release documents. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to create design drawings from written and verbal instruction. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings. Assist in developing manufacturing routers with times assigned to each process. Develops CNC Machine Code, Creates Production Work Orders, Issue Material release orders and Engineering packages to production. Maintains the Engineering production schedule in the system. Job Description: Assist Estimating Dept with takeoffs from Plans, on new jobs for estimating.  Putting together Proposals of Doors and Windows for customers. Putting together Change Orders of Jobs in Progress. Responsible for creating Word documents & Excel spreadsheets for Projects. Putting together Shop Drawings for Estimates / Mockups. Create new systems through product design research for recordkeeping, maintaining accuracy & timelines. Maintain, research, and implement new software & tools, as needed for improvement of Estimating Dept. Create the implementation of the Cloud Based Programs Bluebeam and Salesforce. Meet with Estimating Team to obtain all the necessary information needed to compile ProposalsReview and mark up architectural plans including door/window schedules. Putting together clear, thorough RFI’s for each project being quoted, to get answers needed. Gather pricing from Vendors for Materials, Hardware, etc. for projects being quoted. Weekly meetings with President of company & members of Estimating Department. Creating & establishing standard templates for use in simplifying Quoting process. Creating CAD Drawings & Submittal Packets for Samples / Mockups, with the following considerations: Engineering, Structural Integrity, Physical Operation, Hardware Compatibility, Weatherproofing Installation & Waterproofing Demands, Design, Appearance, Schedules & Budgets. Establishing a standard catalog of written text & terminology, to be re‐used on future projects.   Eligibility Requirements: 5+ years of computer use & knowledge of various software. 3+ years of proven office skills Proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD 2D, 3D, Bluebeam, Salesforce, and other software Able to read and enter information with detailed accuracy.
