Job Description
Seeking an exceptionally knowledgeable production manager capable of coordinating, managing, and overseeing the successful flow of products through the production process and serve as a liaison to all departments. This position will act as the main point for quality control and productivity over the plant and will oversee all work activities and resources for the company in accordance with cost, quality and scheduling.
Successful candidate will:
-Manage production schedule (currently using Just Plan It scheduling software, evaluating ERP Solution).
-Communicate with all department leads to ensure adherence to and understanding of time schedules.
-Participate in hiring, training and evaluation of shop personnel.
-Have direct supervision of 8 department leads, with a total of over 70 production employees underneath them.
-Constantly seek to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control where applicable.
-Have oversight of machinery, equipment and maintenance of such.
-Oversight of consumables, and inventory.
-Lead the plant in meeting key objectives such as safety, quality, productivity and delivery.
-Liaison with senior management, directly reporting to Operations Manager.
-Maintain all paperwork and work with administrative personnel to ensure paper trails, documentation and record keeping are secure and accurate.
-Track all work orders and see that product is tracking correctly through production for timeliness.
-Perform in-process inspections and ensure shipments are accurate, on-time, and of necessary quality.
Eligibility Requirements
-Exceptional high knowledge in architectural wood product, cabinetry, and case goods manufacturing techniques and processes.
-Minimum of 5 years of production management experience managing over 20 people.
-Proficient with office software and ability to provide reports and feedback.
-Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented and team driven.
-Able to read and understand drawings and blueprints
-Strong acumen in comprehending and managing effective labor cost control.
-Candidates with history and background managing multiple types of products and projects of various sizes simultaneously are highly desired (architectural/commercial/furniture/cabinets/custom wood products)
Job Salary
- $90-120k depending on experience.
