Summary/Objective
Seeking an experienced Finish Room Supervisor to be part of their woodworking team. They are a fast-growing Semi-Custom Cabinet Manufacturer. The Finish Room Supervisor will provide the technical expertise, innovation, and leadership to drive finish activities for the division, including problem resolution, production completion, color accuracy and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions
- Wood coatings experience.
- Excellent teamwork facilitation skills.
- Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the cabinet and/or furniture industry.
- Knowledge of all types of woodwork finishing including conversion varnish on spray machines and hand spray.
- Must have color and mixing knowledge and ability.
- Full knowledge of wood and paint finishing process and materials.
- Experience managing multiple finishers.
- Knowledge and work experience in automatic flat lines.
- Inspect, train and evaluate painters.
- Oversee production schedule for finish room.
- Create productivity logs and evaluate daily/weekly/monthly output.
- Flat lines processing experience mandatory.

- Manage all finish room employees.
- Execute projects that target improvement to key finish metrics.
- Manage employees while meeting production labor goals.
- Establish, document and implement standard procedures based on empirical results.
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance procedures and schedules on finishing equipment.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure conformance to documented best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other supervisors to solve problems and create opportunities.
- Provide technical training to employees.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and communicate with maintenance employees.
- Ensure production schedules are met daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time supervisory position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break. Extra hours or longer days may be required.
