Job Description:
  • Responsible for overlooking all projects, understanding, and evaluating them.
  • Responsible for estimating accurate man hours, timelines, and schedules to complete the projects.
  • Responsible for Project schedules, showing the progress & time of each project & the overall for the CAD Department.
  • Creating new systems and improving engineering, thru product design research.
  • Creating, establishing & implementing a CAD catalog of drawings & details.
  • Maintaining, researching, and implementing of new software and tools, as needed for the improvement of the CAD Department
  • Meet with Owners, Architects & Builders to obtain all the necessary information needed to compile the CAD Drawings & Submittal Packets.
  • Creating the actual CAD Drawings & Submittal Packets with the following considerations:
    • Engineering
    • Structural Integrity & Physical Operation
    • Hardware Compatibility, Weatherproofing
    • Design & Appearance
    • Schedules & Budgets
  • When necessary, visiting job sites to obtain information required, confirm understanding of drawings & get final sign-off on project.
Eligibility Requirements: Ability to work independently and originate constructible drawings based on limited information providing workable solutions to highly imaginative design challenges with minimum supervision Knowledgeable in material composition and construction methods that are applicable to the residential and window/door millwork Ability to value engineer, perform self- directed product research and propose different methods of construction methods while meeting design intent and budget/time restrictions Hands-on experience with shop fabrication techniques, equipment, and processes a plus 4 years project CAD experience. AutoCAD proficiency Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, required Job Salary: $65K to $85K+ (pending experience) Relocation: Yes Benefits Offered: 401K, paid vacations, and holidays. Summary The Commercial Project Managers are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all job activities including preparing, producing, and delvering products.   Essential Functions and Responsibilites
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities to ensure job activities stay on schedule and deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with General Contractors and Architects to clarify any inconsistencies and resolve any design conflicts.
  • Ensure accurate contracts.
  • Properly measure on site dimensions to verify that specified designs are accurate and work within construction methods.
  • Manages several jobs at once while meeting deadlines and constantly communicating with contractors.
  • Read prints and specifications in order to understand all aspects of a project.
  • Work closely with drafters to ensure product is drawn according to prints and meets regulations.
  • Determine material orders and keep accurate records for all projects.
  • Ensure all materials are on hand when needed for production.
  • Understand the types of materials that are needed to construct a job properly.
  • Correctly fill in product take offs, change order forms, and job order request sheets.
  • Communicate with purchasing agent about product samples and delivery dates.
  • Ensure production folders are complete and accurate and to the shop in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adequate notice on buyouts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to summarize and communicate orally in person or over the telephone and in written form over email.
  • Ability to manage a variety of information while being able to properly sort, organize, and delegate personal duties.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work indepenently with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination with people and resources.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of Cabinet Industry and how it operates.
  • Team oriented and the ability to operate with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information to make decisions.
  Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Business Management or two or more years of Project Management experience
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Must possess a vaild MN driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle check.
  Work Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel and visit building sites for meetings, measurements, and other job specific gatherings as needed.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Capable of carrying, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds when needed.
  • Occasional exposure to contaminants such as dust or other odors.
  • May be required to occasionally be around hazardous equipment.
  • Periodic exposure to loud noises and sounds.
  • Regular office environment.

Job Description: Visit each jobsite daily; open and close up jobsite Confirm scheduled subcontractors and vendors are on-site as planned Maintain jobsite cleanliness Ensure all materials required for the job are on site for start Thorough understanding of Design details, confirmed material selections and their proper execution Consider lead times when scheduling material orders Be meticulous is reviewing work done by subcontractors When on-site communicate with all trades present to ensure information/needs are addressed prior to leaving Actively manage all facets of the project. Do not let trade partners dictate design or quality standards without approval Ensure work is being done per latest plan and documentation Ensure job signage and rules are displayed appropriately and enforced Ensure protection of new and existing interior finishes, driveways, landscaping, etc. New finishes must be protected within 24 hours of install Thorough weekly inspection of all projects for items needing completion or correction   Eligibility Requirements: Schedule subcontractors and vendors based on critical path timeline as outlined in written 8 week schedule Ensure Trade partners in 8 week schedules are notified of and committed to listed dates Schedule subcontractors 4 weeks in advance with notices at 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week, and 1-2 days prior to starting work Ensure scheduled subcontractors and vendors are on-site as planned Schedule items to be done both essential and non-essential to critical path with trade partners Implement and follow punch out procedure at appropriate time for each project Complete any non-critical path items as soon as possible Schedule QC checklist site review with General Superintendent at appropriate intervals Communicate with architect, designers, and owner throughout the job process Be responsive and available via email, text and phone Update homeowner each Friday of job status Communicate with office staff weekly for both scheduling and financial details Ensure General Superintendent is aware of trade partners neglecting properly communicated schedule, scheduling conflicts or any critical trade issues Utilize all applicable co-construct features in order to properly coordinate with project manager Work with the utmost sense of care and urgency to ensure the highest quality and efficiency standards are met Re-verify with the office, prior to rough-in.
