SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple mediu-m to large scale woodworking projects, ensuring budget, schedule, quality, and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and manage projects in operations system, ensuring proper creation of work orders, labor and material budgets, and schedule.
• Plan, organize, and direct activities within the Project Team and assign responsibilities, tasks, and priorities as needed to ensure project requirements are met.
• Research specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide labor and cost budget recommendations and itemized production requirements.
• Research buyout opportunities and complex items, and assist Purchasing and Engineering in RFQ’s, negotiations and requisitioning.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate feasibility of designs, based on factors such as technical feasibility, function, budget, and production costs/methods.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing project requirements, priorities, status, schedule, and potential risk areas or issues.
• Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
• Setup project folders in company directory and maintain all project documentation according to company procedures.
• Identify project insurance, permit, license, and tax requirements and coordinate with Accounting and Contracts team.
• Prepare transmittals, schedule of values, RFI’s, change order submissions, samples for shipping, and updates to budgets and schedules.
• Process monthly pays requisitions and performs follow-ups to ensure timely receipt of billings.
• Direct and coordinate the design, fabrication, and shipment of mockups and samples.
• Manage project execution and monitor adherence to budget, scope, and schedule.
• Prepare project status reports weekly by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information trends; present reports at weekly Projects Meeting and develop action plans with Project Teams to investigate and resolve variances, issues, and risk areas.
• Make Cost to Complete (CTC) entries weekly in operations system for material, labor, & general condition overruns. Prepare and submit Cost to Complete (CTC) to Accounting team monthly.
• Confer with Installation, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
• Coordinate schedule & potential conflicts with structural, electrical, mechanical, & other subs.
• Plan, research, and coordinate Project Team to perform post-mortem reviews on all projects. Present findings to Finance and Management teams.
• Develop, mentor, and train employees in all aspects of our process and across all departments; engage project teams during drawing, shop, and site reviews to teach and train; act as ambassadors for our project teams when interfacing customers and vendors.
• Develop and nurtures relationships with contractors, developers, and design teams in the pursuit of future project opportunities and relays information to the Sales and Estimating Team.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a quick thinker, problem solver and be able to handle difficult situations as they arise in production, with contractors, and on job sites.
• Demonstrate clarity, urgency, and follow through in managing multiple projects.
• Expert ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Will be required to travel to the job sites to field measure and oversee projects.
Education And/Or Experience:
• Two (2) to four (4) year certificates from college or technical school; and at least ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience & strong business knowledge of construction & woodworking industries.
• Expert knowledge of and experience in project management methodology.
• Expert knowledge & experience with AWS, QCP, FSC, and LEED programs and requirements.
Salary $100-$115K annual salary commensurate
